This is a list of my responsive design book recommendations for you.
1. Responsive Web Design
This is a must-read responsive web design book. It’s written by the person who conceptualized the idea of responsive web design, Ethan Marcotte. I like books by A Book Apart in general for many reasons: the content is impeccably flawless, the witty conversational tone makes them easy to read, and they’re geared towards people who already know how to build websites, which leads to an information-dense and concise book you can read over a weekend.
2. Responsive Web Design with HTML5 and CSS3
This book is pragmatic and facilitates a hands-on learning style. It’s not a 900-page technical reference manual: It focuses on the most useful and widely applicable HTML5 and CSS3 features, such as advanced selectors and media queries. This is a great book for learning responsive web design, HTML and CSS3 all at the same time.

3. Responsive Design Workflow
Designing with mobile devices in mind has drastically changed the way we need to approach the build process of websites. Static mockups and the conventional Photoshop-to-HTML workflow aren’t efficient anymore because we’re designing for an endless amount of contexts. If you’re struggling with the new demands of building modern websites, get this book.
4. Responsive Design with WordPress
This is a useful book for web developers who use WordPress as their preferred CMS. With WordPress being the most popular online publishing platform, this book is relevant to many of us. Official site of the book
5. Implementing Responsive Design
Similar to Responsive Design Workflow, this book gives you a practical process for adopting responsive design into your web design projects. From planning to optimizing your responsive site, this book’s got your back. Official site of the book
