- An entire online content generated by ChatGPT lacks the latest information: ChatGPT is trained with information published from 2021 and older as of this writing. Search engines like Google won’t automatically penalize you for using AI-generated content. In its guidance on AI-generated content published in February 2023, Google said that the appropriate use of AI or automation is not against its guidelines. By “appropriate,” it means the content must not aim to manipulate search rankings.
In the same document, however, Google underscored the importance of original and high-quality content showcasing expertise, experience, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) to rank in SERPs.
