12 website design ideas for 2024

There’s a ton of unique and creative website styles out there, but which one is right for your brand? Take a look at 12 website styles to inspire you in 2024.

1. Apple

Apple website

Kicking off this list of creative website styles  is a company that’s always been known for sleek design, from its products to its website. Apple’s website aptly uses white space to put emphasis on its products. Large images of their electronics and streaming library make Apple’s website easy for users to browse through and navigate.

2. Allbirds

Allbirds website

Allbirds is a sustainable shoe company that puts emphasis on its products from the moment users land on its site. Allbirds is a great inspiration for businesses looking to show off individual products through hero images, sliders, and vibrant banners that catch users’ eyes and keep them scrolling through the site.

3. Leaf & Clay

Leaf & Clay website

Leaf & Clay adopts the “product first” methodology like Allbirds, but puts a unique spin on it. Rather than one static image, users are greeted by a rotating hero image that gives them a quick peek at some of Leaf & Clay’s trending products (in this case, plants). Since Leaf & Clay sells colored plants, they beautifully display them on a simple white background, which makes for a visually pleasing website and an easy shopping experience.

4. Spotify

Spotify website

Spotify uses bold color choices to dominate and fill the screen since the company’s product is their music streaming service. Not only are bold colors a web design trend for 2024, they’re also a UX trend because it invokes the nostalgia of 90s and early 2000s design while remaining modern and youthful.

5. Bonnaroo

Bonnaroo website

Another music site that uses the website design idea of bold colors is Bonnaroo, the Tennessee-based music festival. A little more toned down, Bonnaroo uses bright font colors to bring emphasis to different parts of their site in combination with images from past festivals. Like the earlier websites we’ve discussed, this site prioritizes showing users what it offers rather than telling them in writing.

6. AIAIAI

AIAIAI website

AIAIAI’s website is a great example of the creative use of typography to fill website space and emphasis its products. Various font styles, sizes, and colors fill AIAIAI’s homepage. That variety of colors and fonts creates a unique and dynamic website design style that has kept users coming back.

7. The Museum of Modern Art

MoMA website

The Museum of Modern Art takes a few of the previously mentioned website styles and puts them together in a creative, modern website only MoMA could do. All of the space on MoMA’s homepage is used, and yet the bold fonts and bright colors don’t take away from the art they have on display.

8. The National Gallery of Art

NGoA website

The National Gallery of Art’s website lets its artwork take center stage. The NGA’s website, much like MoMA’s, focuses more on imagery rather than text, but still features an easy-to-use navigation bar and is visually pleasing to viewers.

9. Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix website

Users love originality, and Stitch Fix uses that to its advantage. Throughout its site, Stitch Fix uses simple illustrations for different sections rather than photographs and stock images to break up their content.

10. The 1619 Project

NYT 1619 Project website

The New York Times 1619 Project site tells the story and history of slavery in America through its immersive scrolling. With immersive scrolling, also known as paralax scrolling, websites can dictate what users see and read first. This UX and web design trend will no doubt continue to be popular in the coming years because of its seamless display and ability to let web designers control the narrative of their sites.

11. One Magazine Online

One Magazine Online website

Blogs may be all about written content, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still be displayed on a website creatively. One Magazine’s online blog is a sleek, clean design that puts emphasis on each blog post through stunning images and elegant fonts.

12. Lavva

Lavva website

Add some movement to your next website — literally. Among trending website styles are animated visuals, like gifs and illustrations. Lavva uses animated leaves on its site to add some dynamic movement to its colorful site and create a more immersive experience for users.
