How Much Does Salesforce Cost?

You might have heard of Salesforce before. If you have, you may already know that it’s one of the best cloud platform providers out there. It offers marketing automation features, customer relationship management (CRM), and more. Essentially, it helps you run your business more smoothly, particularly when it comes to marketing.

But how much does Salesforce cost? Even if you know you can benefit from using Salesforce, you may be hesitant to get it if you’re unsure what the cost of Salesforce is, and if it’s worth getting. There are multiple Salesforce pricing plans, and it can be difficult to figure out which is which.

Thankfully, WebFX is here to help clear things up. We’ll walk through the price of Salesforce below, examining each plan it offers. Just keep reading to learn more. Then subscribe to Revenue Weekly — our email newsletter — for more digital marketing tips from the experts!

How much does Salesforce cost?

Salesforce offers many different pricing plans. The cheapest plans are $25 per user per month, while the most expensive is over $15,000 per month.

As you can see, the cost of Salesforce varies immensely. Keep reading for a breakdown of each individual plan!

Salesforce Sales Cloud

The Salesforce Sales Cloud is the simplest suite of software pricing plans offered by Salesforce. It’s designed to help you manage contacts and leads from a centralized dashboard. It also includes some basic automation features to help you run things.

The price of Salesforce Sales Cloud depends on the plan you choose. There are four options available for this Cloud, as broken down below.

Essentials

Salesforce Sales Cloud Essentials is the cheapest, most baseline Salesforce plan. As the name would suggest, it comes with all the most basic features of the Sales Cloud, but significantly limits the quantity of storage space and users.

Pricing

$25 per user per month

Features

  • 1 GB of file storage
  • Up to 10 users
  • Custom reporting

Professional

The Professional plan is a measurable step up from the Essentials plan. It contains most of the same features, but offers a greater quantity of storage space and unlimited users. It also adds some capabilities, such as lead scoring.

Pricing

$75 per user per month

Features

  • 10 GB of file storage (+2 GB per license)
  • Unlimited users
  • Lead scoring

Enterprise

The Enterprise plan is very similar to the Professional plan. Aside from the price difference, the main change is that it adds a couple of additional features, one of which is the inclusion of an application programming interface (API).

Pricing

$150 per user per month

Features

  • 10 GB of file storage (+2 GB per license)
  • Unlimited users
  • Lead scoring
  • API included in cost

Unlimited

The highest tier available in the Salesforce Sales Cloud is the Unlimited plan. This plan is similar to the enterprise plan. The biggest change is that it simply offers more of everything.

Pricing

$300 per user per month

Features

  • 10 GB of file storage (+2 GB per license)
  • Unlimited users
  • Lead scoring
  • API included in cost

Salesforce Service Cloud

While the Salesforce Sales Cloud performs basic CRM tasks, the Salesforce Service Cloud is oriented specifically toward customer service. This platform exists to help you keep up with your leads and customers to provide them with the best service possible.

This Cloud makes it easy to access customer data from anywhere. Like the Sales Cloud, it can be broken down into four plans, as laid out below.

Essentials

The Service Cloud Essentials plan has the same price as the Sales Cloud Essentials plan. Like that plan, it offers the most basic features of the Service Cloud, including some minimal social media integration and limited users.

Pricing

$25 per user per month

Features

Professional

The Professional plan upgrades the number of users and adds a few new features to the mix, including a user hierarchy within the platform.

Pricing

$75 per user per month

Features

  • Unlimited users
  • User hierarchy
  • Calendar

Enterprise

The Enterprise plan adds even more features that the Professional plan doesn’t have. One of those features is a website live chat, although it requires an additional fee to set up with this plan.

Pricing

$150 per user per month

Features

  • Unlimited users
  • Website live chat (for additional cost)
  • User hierarchy
  • Calendar

Unlimited

The unlimited plan throws in a few more features, but on top of that, it includes things like website live chat in the cost rather than forcing you to pay more for them.

Pricing

$300 per user per month

Features

  • Unlimited users
  • Phone communications channels
  • Website live chat included in cost
  • Agent monitoring

Salesforce Marketing Cloud

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as the name suggests, is built to help you manage your marketing efforts. It doesn’t have capabilities in every marketing strategy, but it’s great for handling email campaigns and building out your website.

This Cloud is definitely more expensive than the previous two, but depending on your needs, it may be worth the price. Here’s a breakdown of the three main plans included in the Marketing Cloud.

Basic

The Basic Salesforce Marketing Cloud plan isn’t particularly extensive — it only offers content creation and email marketing features. That said, both of those features have the potential to do a lot for your bottom line.

Pricing

$400 per month

Features

  • Content creation
  • Email marketing

Pro

The Pro plan takes things up a notch by making your job easier. Specifically, it contributes an AI and a suite of automation features that let the platform do a lot of the work for you.

Pricing

$1250 per month

Features

  • Einstein AI
  • Automation features

Corporate

The Corporate plan goes all-in with marketing capabilities. In addition to all the features included in the previous two plans, it adds advanced analytics and mobile-friendly capabilities to the mix.

Pricing

$3750 per month

Features

  • Analytics capabilities
  • Mobile functionality

Salesforce Pardot

Pardot is actually its own tool, one that Salesforce acquired from its original creators. As such, it’s structured a bit differently from the regular Cloud platforms. That said, it bears some similarities to the Marketing Cloud in the sense that it’s built to help you manage your marketing efforts.

Pardot offers functionalities in email marketing, social media, content marketing, and paid advertising. It offers these services in four different plans, as explored below.

Growth

Pardot’s Growth plan starts off relatively small, with a mere 100 MB of storage space and baseline functionality in all the different marketing strategies it includes.

Pricing

$1200 per month

Features

  • 100 MB of storage
  • Unlimited users
  • Up to 10,000 contacts

Plus

The Plus plan offers more storage space than the Growth plan, but maintains many of the same features otherwise.

Pricing

$2500 per month

Features

  • 500 MB of storage
  • Unlimited users
  • Up to 10,000 contacts

Advanced

The Advanced plan brings up the storage space even more and provides a few extra functionalities for each marketing strategy.

Pricing

$4000 per month

Features

  • 10 GB of storage
  • Unlimited users
  • Up to 10,000 contacts

Premium

The Premium plan finally improves on the number of contacts you can have, but doesn’t offer too many changes beyond that.

Pricing

$15,000 per month

Features

  • 10 GB of storage
  • Unlimited users
  • Up to 75,000 contacts

Salesforce Commerce Cloud

The Commerce Cloud is built for ecommerce, helping you create a smoother online buying process for your customers. It comes in two main flavors — business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B).

This Cloud is a bit different from the previous ones on this list because it doesn’t have set pricing plans. Instead, it relies entirely on custom pricing, so if you’re interested in this plan, you’ll need to contact Salesforce for a quote.

Features

  • One-touch payment functionality
  • Customer segmentation
  • Real-time dashboards

Salesforce Anywhere

The final Salesforce platform you can choose is Salesforce Anywhere. Unlike everything else on this list, Salesforce Anywhere isn’t a standalone platform. Instead, it’s something you can get in addition to another plan.

Salesforce Anywhere exists for the benefit of remote teams. If not everyone on your team is working from the same location, Salesforce Anywhere can be a great way to connect everyone’s efforts in a central location. It only comes as a single plan, as shown below.

Pricing

$100 per user per month

Features

  • Remote document sharing
  • Mobile optimization
  • Team progress updates
